The Green Seal of Approval
The Green “Seal of Approval” has come to represent reliability, integrity, and equality. The Green Seal means that a product or a service has been tested by science-based procedures and has proven to work as well or better that other products or services in its class and that it has been evaluated without any interference of interest or bias. The Green Seal’s evaluations are based on information and science using internationally recognized methods and procedures. In order to earn the prestigious “Green Seal”, a product or service must meet the Green Seal environmental standards and requirements for the category as demonstrated by testing, evaluation, and a plant visit. The Green Seal distinguishes a product from its competitors that are unable to back their environmental assertions and standards. It provides an advantage for a business in that it identifies a product as environmentally preferred and provides third-party corroboration of environmental claims.
EPA Lead Certified
As of April 22, 2010 The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency mandated the Renovation, Repair & Painting Rule). It now required that contractors and home improvement companies practice lead-safe practices in an effort to prevent lead paint hazards created by renovation, painting, and repairs that may disturb lead-based paints in houses built before 1978. Ultimate Gutter Guard is proud to be an appointed by the EPA a Lead-Safe Certified company. We manage lead-safe practices in all pre-1978 homes that meet the criteria for the Renovation, Repair & Painting Rule. In order to ensure our customer’s protection, all of Ultimate Gutter Guard’s installers are EPA Lead-Safe Certified and adhere to the strict guidelines and procedures of the EPA.
If home improvement work is being done on your home, make sure that the company you are dealing with is EPA Lead-Safe Certified.
Energy Star Certified
Energy Star is a program that is directed by the U.S. Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency. It aides individuals and businesses protecting the environment through greater energy efficiency. The Energy Star label can be found only on doors and windows that meet the specific U-value and shading coefficient ratings for one or more regions of the United States. The ratings of one window will vary from another due to the variables such as the style, glass used, and product design. Find out more about the ENERGY STAR program at www.energystar.gov.
